Simple stat tracking website for TEKKEN 7 matches played with the c7 mod. It's using almost all of the same code as the TEKKEN 8 version.

Data

Players running the c7 mod send match results to a game server similar to how TEKKEN 8 works out of the box. This server then queries that server every ~60 seconds for completed games and saves them in a database.

Unlike TEKKEN 8, however, the game server detects plugging and still reports the matches as completed. For these matches, the ↯ symbol will be shown for that player's score, and the other player is assigned the win.

There are likely some gaps in the data due to poor communication with the game server or it being down for maintenance. If this has happened to one of your games, I'm sorry, but that's just how it is! I'm not going to manually process any match reports.

Ratings

Ratings are calculated using glicko2, which is one of the most well-regarded and battle-tested rating systems out there. This is in stark contrast to TEKKEN 7's rating system, which is trivially gameable by cherry picking.

Each player gets a completely new, distinct rating for each character they play. Because of how glicko2 works, it will quickly (within ~10 games) reach a reasonable rating, so there's no need for anything like the in-game auto promotion of side characters.

Leaderboards

Ratings with a deviation lower than 75 can appear on the leaderboard. This is what lichess uses. There's no other limitation currently.

Limitations

These ratings are far from perfect. The main limitations are:

Ratings between regions can't be compared. Dominant results in stronger regions are harder to achieve, so top players in stronger regions are expected to have lower ratings than those in weaker regions.
